Filming 'The Package'

On Tuesday this week, we did the filming of 'The Package'; a short project designed to help us learn about the use of the camera and filming techniques. The experience of filming was extremely helpful, not least as it highlighted a few areas for improvement. We were, I think, too ambitious, which meant that our Shot List was too long, and had to be cut down and deviated from. Use of the equipment also proved troublesome as we had chosen to place our shots in areas with somewhat uneven ground, leading to difficulty setting up the tripod correctly. On Wednesday, we began to edit the film, which was also very helpful as it allowed us to get to grips with editing and use of Final Cut Pro, it was also very nice to see the project come together on the screen. At the moment we only have rough cuts finished, but I am looking forward to seeing the final product.
